  Notes	Thomas & Elizabeth emigrated to USA c1851, arrived in New York and in due course took to the Oregon Trail in a covered wagon. The young Wilces first child was a son they called Thomas Harold who was born on the Oregon trail. they later had another son they called Charles. Sometime after the birth of Charles. Elizabeth died and at the age of about 9 young Thomas was taken by his father back to Monmouth to live with his Maternal Grandmother. Thomas, the father, then returned to the US and re-married. [1]
